The deliverability of an email is the fact that the email sent reaches the inbox of its recipient. To optimise this, it is important to follow certain good technical practices:
Checking the domain (mandatory)
You will be asked to check the domain that will be used to send your emails (e.g. contact@mondomaine.fr) to ensure that it actually belongs to you.
Authentication (strongly recommended)
E-mail hosts such as Google, Yahoo and Microsoft use DKIM authentication to check incoming e-mails and identify spam or spoofed addresses. Emails sent with an unauthenticated domain risk ending up in a spam or junk folder.
Domain alignment (recommended)
When you send an email, several domains are used.
To optimise deliverability, it is recommended that you use the same root domain for both the sending address and the return address, in order to be better perceived by the various filtering systems.
Redirect links (recommended)
To optimise deliverability, it is also recommended that you use the same root domain for the sending address and for the redirect links used in your emails and other media.
In order to set up these configurations, here are the steps to follow :
My shop > My shipping domains
This is what you should see on your interface:
You can validate your domain :
by e-mail
Simply enter a valid address for your domain. You will receive a confirmation email in which you can validate your domain.
If no email box is configured for your domain, you can validate it via DNS, see below.
Via DNS
Simply add a TXT-type entry to your domain's DNS settings with a key that will allow us to validate your domain.
To authenticate your domain and benefit from improved deliverability, click on the "Instructions" button in the Authentication section.
You will need to add 2 CNAME records to the 2 sub-domains :
spmdkim1._domainkey.my-domain.ext
spmdkim2._domainkey.my-domain.ext
To align your domain for better deliverability, click on the "Instructions" button in the Domain Alignments section.
You will need to add a CNAME record on a subdomain that you have chosen: subdomain.mydomain.ext :
